In a significant step toward strengthening healthcare collaboration between Pakistan and the United States, Muhammad Idrees, a prominent industrialist and CEO of Sitara Chemical Industries, was hosted during his recent visit to Houston. Known for his entrepreneurial excellence and humanitarian initiatives, Mr. Idrees has played a leading role in establishing institutions such as Aziz Fatima Hospital, Medical University, and Dental College in Faisalabad, all of which continue to serve the public with distinction.

Currently, Mr. Idrees is spearheading the development of the Aziz Fatima Super Specialty Hospital, a state-of-the-art 17-story medical facility in Faisalabad. Construction of the hospital is nearing completion, with operational launch expected by the end of this year, Insha’Allah. The first two floors—equipped with essential departments—are set to become functional soon.
Through a joint initiative by the Marfani Foundation USA and Medical Bridges, priority efforts are underway to provide vital medical supplies for these initial departments. As additional floors and units are opened in phases, specialized medical equipment—including hospital beds, diagnostic machines, and surgical tools—will be shipped in 40-foot containers, specifically tailored to the evolving needs of the facility. This ongoing collaboration aims to ensure that patients from all socioeconomic backgrounds have access to world-class healthcare.
This visit marked more than a ceremonial engagement; it served as the foundation for a long-term strategic partnership focused on transforming healthcare delivery in Pakistan through global collaboration and resource mobilization.

The successful coordination of this initiative was made possible with the sincere efforts of Lion Izhar Ahmad, PMJF, Chairman of the Pakistan Welfare Project of the Marfani Foundation USA, who played a key role in facilitating Mr. Idrees’s engagements during the visit. Also present on the occasion was A. Rehman Patel, Executive Director of Marfani Foundation USA, whose support and participation further underscored the foundation’s commitment to this humanitarian mission.
During his stay in Houston, Mr. Idrees toured Medical Bridges, where he was briefed on the organization’s operations, medical inventory, and logistical capabilities. He expressed appreciation for the vision and scale of the work and signaled his intent to build a strategic partnership that would directly benefit healthcare institutions in Pakistan.

Special acknowledgment is extended to Mehmood Marfani, CEO of the Marfani Foundation, who is currently facing health challenges. In his absence, the mission he envisioned continues to guide efforts on both sides of the globe. His legacy of compassion, leadership, and public service remains a driving force behind these initiatives aimed at improving lives through access to quality healthcare.
