The leadership and board members of the American Pakistani Public Affairs Committee (AP PAC) held a significant meeting with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, at the Consulate General of Pakistan in New York.
Consul General Amar Ahmed Achakzai and Ambassador Rizwan Saeed also attended the meeting, extending warm hospitality and support during the high-level engagement.

The discussion proved both productive and impactful, as the Deputy Prime Minister acknowledged APPAC’s extensive efforts across the United States—particularly its work in engaging American legislators and backing candidates whose platforms reflect shared values and priorities. He praised initiatives that have fostered stronger connections between the U.S. and Pakistan.
Deputy Prime Minister Dar also commended AP PAC’s role in facilitating official delegations to Pakistan, including the visit of New York State Assembly Deputy Speaker Phil Ramos. Additionally, he highlighted the committee’s pioneering work in supporting the launch of the NCLEX nursing exam in Pakistan—a move set to empower Pakistani healthcare professionals to contribute to the American healthcare sector while boosting Pakistan’s economy through global workforce participation.

Extending a warm invitation, the Deputy Prime Minister encouraged both AP PAC and Phil Ramos to visit Pakistan again. He expressed confidence that further cooperation in trade, education, and cultural exchange will deepen bilateral ties between the two nations.

Sharing reflections from recent diplomatic engagements, including a meeting with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Ishaq Dar emphasized Pakistan’s dedication to regional peace, responsible diplomacy, and constructive engagement with neighboring countries. He reiterated Pakistan’s longstanding commitment to de-escalation and praised international efforts, including those by U.S. President Donald Trump, to promote peace in South Asia. The American Pakistani Public Affairs Committee appreciates this opportunity for dialogue and looks forward to continued collaboration aimed at enhancing diplomatic, economic, and people-to-people relations between Pakistan and the United States.
