The U.S. Immigration Department has rolled out a more stringent policy on visa and green card regulations, cautioning potential immigrants about intensified enforcement.
Under the new directive, individuals involved in terrorism, incitement to violence, or related activities will be permanently barred from staying in the United States.
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio underscored that anyone residing in the country without legal status will now be treated as a criminal offender under federal law. He further warned that violations of U.S. laws—regardless of severity—could result in the revocation of visas and green cards.
The revised policy also places tighter scrutiny on student visa applicants. Authorities have announced that visas may be denied to individuals suspected of planning to engage in protests or cause civil unrest during their stay in the U.S.
These changes signal a broader shift toward prioritizing national security and stricter immigration compliance.
