Bollywood superstar Salman Khan became emotional during a live episode of the reality show Bigg Boss while remembering his late friend, Baba Siddiqui, who was tragically assassinated on October 12. The news of Siddiqui’s death deeply affected Khan, prompting him to abruptly halt filming and leave the set.
Emotional Tribute to a Close Friend
In this week’s episode, Salman struggled to contain his grief, with tears visible in his eyes. He openly shared his reluctance to appear on the show following the tragic loss. “I didn’t want to meet anyone, and I didn’t even want to come to the set,” he told the contestants. Despite his emotions, he explained, “Work is work, and we have to keep going.”

Speculations Surrounding Khan’s Absence
Khan’s temporary absence from the show fueled speculations, particularly as he has been facing ongoing threats from the Bishnoi gang. Many believed he might step away from hosting Bigg Boss for a few weeks due to these threats. However, Salman returned to the screen for the special weekend episode, Weekend Ka Vaar, continuing his hosting duties despite the personal and professional challenges.
Bishnoi Gang Threats and Rising Tensions
Salman Khan has been under constant threat from the notorious Bishnoi gang. In a recent message, the gang demanded over $600,000 to end their feud with the actor, threatening that Khan’s fate “will be worse than that of former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddiqui” if the demand is not met.
This isn’t the first time Khan has faced such threats. In 2022, a letter was found near his residence, and in March 2023, an email allegedly sent by gang members also contained threats. Earlier in January 2024, two individuals attempted to break into Khan’s farmhouse using fake identities, heightening concerns for his safety.
Salim Khan’s Stance on Apology to the Gang
Despite these threats, Salman’s father, renowned film producer Salim Khan, firmly stated that his son would not apologize to the Bishnoi gang. This defiant stance reflects the Khan family’s determination to stand strong amid ongoing challenges and threats.
