The Ambassador of Pakistan to the United States, Rizwan Saeed Shaikh, joined by the Consul General of Pakistan in New York, Aamer Ahmed Atozai, attended the annual Pakistan Day Parade organized by the Pakistani American community in New Jersey. The event drew a large and diverse audience, celebrating Pakistan’s heritage with pride, unity, and cultural vibrancy.

The parade showcased the rich cultural traditions of Pakistan, featuring stalls with handicrafts, traditional cuisine, and colorful displays. Patriotic songs and live performances by Pakistani artists added to the festive atmosphere, reflecting the community’s deep sense of love and loyalty toward Pakistan.

In his address, Ambassador Shaikh emphasized the significance of Pakistan’s Independence Day, describing it as a milestone of pride in the nation’s history. He highlighted that this year’s celebrations were particularly joyful due to Pakistan’s recent victory in Bunyanul Marsoos, which has further united the nation.
The Ambassador praised the positive contributions of Pakistani Americans to the progress and development of the United States, calling their achievements a source of national pride for Pakistan. He encouraged the community to remain engaged in the social and democratic life of their adopted homeland, stressing the importance of civic participation and constructive involvement.

Ambassador Shaikh also applauded the accomplishments of the Pakistani Ice Hockey Team, which recently performed impressively at the Amerigol Latam Ice Hockey Tournament in the United States. Their success, he noted, symbolizes the emerging sporting talent of Pakistan and the global recognition it continues to earn.
The parade concluded with a renewed commitment to unity between Pakistan and its diaspora in the United States. The celebration not only highlighted cultural pride but also reaffirmed the enduring friendship, shared identity, and mutual aspirations of the community.
