A major educational initiative has successfully delivered over 100,000 academic, educational, and library books from New York to students in Chitral, Pakistan. This effort aims to provide underprivileged students with valuable learning resources, fostering knowledge and intellectual growth.

Leadership and Community Collaboration
This initiative was led by former pilot Lakshan Bibi, with the support of the Aga Khan Foundation and the US Africa Fellowship. Several community members also played a crucial role in making this project a success, including Naseem Gilgiti from Soni Watan Gilgit-Baltistan USA and other dedicated contributors.

The Power of Books in Shaping Young Minds
At this momentous occasion, Lakshan Bibi expressed deep gratitude, stating:
“Nasim Gilgiti Sahib, thank you very much for your unwavering support. As we all know, books hold immense importance in our lives, especially for children. Reading broadens knowledge, enhances intellect, and introduces students to different societies and civilizations across the world. Moreover, it nurtures creativity and imagination in young minds.”

Looking Ahead: The Next Shipment for Gilgit-Baltistan
With this successful shipment, efforts are already underway for the next initiative. Container will be sent to Gilgit-Baltistan, further expanding access to knowledge and education for students in northern Pakistan.
