British police announced on Friday the arrest of a man following a burglary at the home of England Test captain Ben Stokes while he was in Pakistan last month.
Incident Occurred During England’s Test Series Against Pakistan
The break-in took place on October 17, while Stokes was away for England’s second Test match against Pakistan. Stokes reported that several valuable items, including his OBE medal, jewelry, and other possessions, were stolen. Although his wife and children were home during the incident, they were unharmed.

Police Arrest and Ongoing Investigation
Durham Constabulary shared in a statement on Facebook that a 32-year-old man from North Yorkshire was taken into custody overnight on suspicion of burglary. The suspect has since been released on bail as investigations continue.
Stokes Appeals to the Public for Help
Stokes previously shared images of the stolen items in hopes the public could help identify them and provide information on the culprits.
