In the evening, the Embassy hosted a prestigious community event at the Chancery, attended by leading Pakistani-Americans, journalists, Pakistani business delegates, and Embassy officials. Ambassador Condemns Indian Aggression and Highlights Pakistan’s Measured Response
Speaking at the event, Ambassador Rizwan Saeed Sheikh strongly condemned the unprovoked Indian aggression, describing it as a reflection of the supremacist Hindutva ideology that has become India’s state policy.
He highlighted the strategic and symbolic significance of “Operation Bunyan-al-Marsoos”, praising the Pakistan Armed Forces and the people for their resounding success, which not only restored the balance of power in South Asia but also reinforced Pakistan’s credible deterrence capabilities.
Call for International Attention to Kashmir Dispute
Ambassador Sheikh welcomed President Donald Trump’s statement on facilitating a resolution to the Jammu and Kashmir dispute, which remains the core issue between Pakistan and India. He urged the international community to hold India accountable to its commitments under the relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions, emphasizing the need for a peaceful and just settlement.
Appreciation for Pakistani-American Community’s Unity and Contribution
The Ambassador also praised the unity, resolve, and patriotism displayed by the Pakistani-American community during the recent escalation. He encouraged the diaspora to continue playing a constructive role in Pakistan’s socio-economic development and to actively contribute toward enhancing Pakistan-U.S. bilateral relations.
