In his keynote address, Consul General Mr. Asim Ali Khan reflected on the historical significance of March 23, 1940—the day the Lahore Resolution was passed, setting the foundation for an independent Pakistan. He paid homage to the sacrifices of Pakistan’s founding leaders and reiterated the nation’s ongoing commitment to the vision of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

The Consul General also highlighted the enduring and strategic partnership between Pakistan and the United States, built on shared values, mutual respect, and common goals. Citing recent high-level interactions between the two countries, he expressed Pakistan’s aspiration to deepen bilateral ties across a range of sectors.
Addressing Pakistan’s economic potential, Mr. Khan pointed out that Pakistan, with a purchasing power parity GDP of approximately $2 trillion and ranking as the fifth-largest consumer market globally, offers immense investment and trade opportunities. He noted the current Pak-U.S. trade volume stands at $8 billion, with IT exports surpassing $1 billion. He invited U.S. investors to consider Pakistan’s promising sectors such as agriculture, mining, information technology, and energy—especially under the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) framework.

The Consul General also encouraged guests to visit Pakistan, emphasizing its rich cultural heritage, scenic landscapes, warm hospitality, and role as a regional hub for tourism, business, and cultural exchange.
As part of the celebration, a special painting exhibition was held featuring the works of legendary Pakistani artist Sadequain.
