A remarkable new story of hope, knowledge, and a brighter future is unfolding in Karachi, where Momina & Duraid Foundation has taken a historic step by hosting the groundbreaking ceremony of its prestigious educational project, Siraj-ud-Daulah Elementary School. This grand initiative is being transformed into reality with the exceptional support of Houston Karachi Sister City Association’s Chief Patron, Syed JavaidAnwar.
The project was recently launched with a strong commitment to advancing education, igniting a new light of opportunity for future generations. The institution has been respectfully dedicated to the memory of Syed Javaid Anwar’s late mother, Tahira Khatoon, adding deep emotional and spiritual significance to this noble endeavor.
The memorable ceremony was graced by distinguished guests, community leaders, and government officials, all of whom hailed the initiative as a timely necessity and a golden opportunity for the youth. It was also officially announced that Siraj-ud-Daulah Girls & Boys Elementary School has been formally adopted under the foundation’s program, ensuring a promising and sustainable future for the institution.
The current dilapidated building, which presently accommodates only 50 students, will soon become a thing of the past. In its place, a modern, high-quality educational facility will be constructed—destined to become a beacon of knowledge and excellence. Upon completion, the number of students is expected to exceed 700 in the coming years, with a strong commitment to completing the project within the current year.
Among the notable attendees was Sultana Siddiqui, President and Founder of Hum Network, who emphasized the urgent need for quality education in Pakistan and described the initiative as a transformative step forward.
Speaking at the event, Muhammad Saeed Sheikh, President of the Houston Karachi Sister City Association, revealed that a generous donation of $300,000 had been made by Syed Javaid Anwar for this project. He also paid tribute to the tireless efforts of Momina & Duraid Foundation and Sultana Siddiqui, stating that the true strength of any nation lies in its youth, and that quality education is the foundation of a strong and prosperous Pakistan.
It is worth noting that Momina & Duraid Foundation continues to play a vital role in promoting education and community development in underserved areas, while the Houston Karachi Sister City Association has provided full support and effective coordination to bring this vision to life.
During the ceremony, the project’s lead coordinator, Duraid Qureshi, delivered a comprehensive PowerPoint presentation outlining the construction plan, offering attendees a clear insight into this ambitious vision.
The presence of the area’s Deputy Commissioner and other local representatives further reinforced the significance of this initiative, highlighting its strong local support and its importance not only educationally but also socially.
This project is not merely a school—it is a dream. A dream committed to empowering future generations with knowledge, awareness, and the confidence to reach new heights of success.
