Comedian-singer Chahat Fateh Ali Khan recently shared a claim on Instagram, stating that YouTube informed him via email that he was the second most searched singer globally this year. In the short video, Chahat expressed his excitement over surpassing the late Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan to become one of the top searched artists on the platform.
According to his video, the email he received from YouTube congratulated him on his ranking and mentioned that Guru Randhawa was the most searched Indian singer of the year, with Chahat Fateh Ali Khan coming in second and the legendary Pakistani singer, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, in third.
Chahat further claimed that the email stated he was the most searched singer not just in Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka, but worldwide. He thanked his fans for making this achievement possible, crediting their support for his success.
However, while Chahat shared this news enthusiastically, he did not provide any official proof of the email or his ranking. YouTube and other platforms typically release their annual year-end lists of top searches, personalities, and trends, but as of now, such lists for 2024 have yet to be published.
