Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has once again been targeted with a death threat, this time accompanied by a daring challenge. The latest threat was reportedly issued by the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, which has previously been linked to similar warnings.
Second Threat in Just Two Days
According to Indian media reports, two days after receiving a threat allegedly from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, Salman Khan received another threatening message on Thursday, November 7. The new threat, which was relayed to the Mumbai Police, demanded a ransom of INR 5 crore (approximately $6 million). The message also mentioned the songwriter who had written a song about Lawrence Bishnoi, threatening harm to both the songwriter and Khan’s supporters. The gang further challenged Salman Khan, daring him to save the songwriter if he could.
Mumbai Police Investigate New Threat
A spokesperson for the Mumbai Police confirmed that the Traffic Control Room received the threatening message late the previous night. The Worli Police have since registered a case and begun an investigation. Authorities are working to trace the source of the threat. The Traffic Police have alerted Worli Police and shared all necessary details regarding the call.
Earlier Threat and Arrest of Suspect
This latest threat follows a similar incident just two days earlier. On November 5, Mumbai Police received another warning asking Salman Khan to either apologize or pay INR 5 crore ($6 million) for his safety. In connection with that threat, a 32-year-old man named Bheka Ram, also known as Vikram, was arrested in Karnataka and handed over to Maharashtra police.
Vikram, a daily wage laborer from Rajasthan’s Jalore district, allegedly made the threatening call after watching news coverage about Lawrence Bishnoi. Sources revealed that Vikram, a self-proclaimed fan of the gang leader, called the Mumbai Police Control Room to issue his threat against Salman Khan.
