In the lively markets of Pakistan’s eastern Punjab province, one food vendor has become the talk of the town—not just for his delicious kheer (milk pudding), but also for his striking resemblance to former US President Donald Trump.
Trump Look-Alike Draws Crowds with Kheer and Tunes
Saleem Bagga, 53, pushes his vibrant wooden cart through the streets of Sahiwal, dressed in a beige shalwar kameez and a black jacket to combat the winter chill. His distinct blond quiff, a result of albinism, has earned him the nickname “Trump” among locals.
“When he sings to sell kheer, it feels like Trump himself has come here,” says Mohammad Yaseen, a regular customer. “We rush to buy from him because his presence is so entertaining.”
Bagga’s melodic calls to customers include lines from Punjabi songs, such as, “Now you come down to me my love, don’t delay, my eyes are tired of waiting.” This unique blend of humor, music, and dessert has made him a local sensation.

Selfie Star and Community Favorite
The vendor’s resemblance to Trump has turned him into a celebrity. Imran Ashraf, another resident, said, “His kheer is amazing, but meeting him is the real highlight. We take selfies and show them off to our friends, saying, ‘We met Trump!’”
A Special Invitation for the Real Trump
Despite the constant attention and cameras, Bagga takes it all in stride. “I feel good when people recognize me and want to take pictures,” he says with a smile.
With a playful sense of humor, he extends a heartfelt invitation: “Donald Trump sahib, you’ve won the election. Come visit us and try my kheer—you’ll love it!”
Saleem Bagga’s story highlights the joy and connection that humor and food can bring, even across cultural and political divides.
