Context Amid Tragedy
As wildfires continue to spread across the Los Angeles region, more than 100,000 people have been evacuated, and nearly 30,000 hectares of land have been scorched. Thousands of buildings have been destroyed, and strong winds pose ongoing challenges for firefighting crews.
Coincidence or Prediction?
While some view the episode as yet another uncanny prediction by The Simpsons, others attribute the similarities to coincidence or the show’s tendency to depict common societal fears. Regardless, the parallels have reignited fascination with the series’ reputation for “predicting” real-world events.
