WhatsApp has begun the rollout of an upgraded interface for managing chat lists, aimed at enhancing organization and user experience.

Beta Release and Availability
This new design is currently accessible to select beta testers via the latest WhatsApp beta for Android (version 2.24.25.8) and is expected to reach a broader audience soon.

Improved User Interface
The revamped interface features a more intuitive layout for managing filters and chat lists. Key filters like “Favorites” and “Various Conversations” are now prominently displayed at the top of the screen, alongside a shortcut for creating new filters. Additionally, a newly designed button simplifies the creation of custom lists, aligning with the app’s modern action buttons.

Enhanced Functionality
Along with new filters, the update allows users to restore deleted preset filters, such as “Unread” and “Groups.” The layout has been standardized to match the design of other app sections, including “Security” and “Mail” settings, fostering a more cohesive overall appearance.

Focus on Usability
WhatsApp aims to simplify its interface, ensuring that vital features are easily accessible. This redesign enhances usability for both individual and group chats, making it more user-friendly.

Gradual Rollout
Some users on stable versions of the app may already notice these changes, as the new design is being gradually implemented.

Update Access
The update is available through the Google Play Store and is set to be rolled out to more users in the coming days. As WhatsApp continues to refine its interface, the new chat list management feature is poised to significantly improve the user experience.

New QR Code Feature for Channels
In addition to the chat management update, WhatsApp introduced a new feature in its latest beta update (version 2.24.25.7), enabling users to share and follow WhatsApp channels via QR codes.

Simplified Channel Discovery
This feature streamlines the process of discovering and joining channels, allowing users to simply scan a QR code instead of copying and pasting links.

Unique QR Codes for Channel Owners
Channel owners can now generate unique QR codes for their channels, which can be shared digitally or physically—through messages, flyers, business cards, posters, or even product packaging.

Effortless Following
By scanning the QR code, users can quickly access the channel and follow it with a single tap, significantly simplifying the process.
