In the wake of a recent terrorist attack near Jinnah International Airport, the Pakistan Airports Authority’s Vigilance Department has rolled out new security measures aimed at enhancing the safety of passengers and their companions. These updated protocols, expected to be implemented soon, are designed to tighten access control and ensure a more secure airport environment.
New Entry Requirements for Passengers and Visitors
Under the newly introduced guidelines, passengers will be required to present a copy of their travel ticket before entering the airport, allowing security personnel to verify their identity. This measure is intended to prevent unauthorized access and help authorities maintain a higher level of control over who enters the airport premises.

Limits on Companions and Mandatory ID Verification
As part of the revised security plan, each passenger will now be allowed to be accompanied by no more than four individuals. Additionally, those coming to pick up or drop off passengers will be required to show a valid identity card for entry. Citizens who fail to present either a travel ticket or valid ID will be denied access to the airport, further tightening security and minimizing the risk of potential threats.
Security Focus Amid Heightened Concerns
The new security measures underscore a commitment to maintaining a safe and controlled airport environment, especially in light of increasing security threats. Airport authorities have emphasized that these changes are necessary to safeguard travelers and ensure the integrity of airport operations during these heightened security concerns.
