n the second ODI of the three-match series in Adelaide, Pakistan triumphed over Australia by 9 wickets, leveling the series at 1-1. Pakistani bowlers put in a stellar performance, dismissing Australia for just 163 runs in 35 overs. Pakistan comfortably chased down the target of 164 runs in 26.3 overs, losing just one wicket.

Opening batsman Saim Ayub scored a quick-fire 82 off 71 balls, while Abdullah Shafique remained unbeaten on 64. Captain Babar Azam also stayed not out with 15 runs, guiding Pakistan to victory.
In a remarkable feat, Pakistan’s wicketkeeper Muhammad Rizwan equaled the world record by taking 6 catches in the match. However, Rizwan missed the opportunity to set a new world record when he dropped a seventh catch in the 34th over off Adam Zampa’s shot, preventing him from making history. Rizwan is now the ninth player to take 6 catches in an ODI, joining the ranks of his fellow Pakistani, Sarfaraz Ahmed.
Australian legend Adam Gilchrist holds the record for most instances of 6 catches in an ODI, having achieved the feat four times.
