Bollywood actor Salman Khan has reportedly received a new death threat linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The message, sent to the Mumbai Police Traffic Control unit, demanded that Salman either visit a Bishnoi community temple to apologize for the alleged blackbuck incident or pay ₹5 crore. The threat, purportedly from someone claiming to be Lawrence Bishnoi’s brother, warned of serious consequences if these demands are not met.
Message Warns of Consequences
“If Salman Khan wants to stay alive, he should go to our (Bishnoi community) temple and apologize or pay Rs.5 crore. If he does not do so, we will kill him; our gang is still active,” the message read.
Police Response and Investigation
The Mumbai Police have intensified security around Salman Khan while investigating the origin of the threat. Authorities are tracing the number used to send the message and determining any direct links to Lawrence Bishnoi, who is currently jailed on multiple charges, including attempted murder and extortion. According to a statement from the police, the process to formally register the case is underway at the Worli Police Station.

Previous Death Threats Against Salman Khan
Salman Khan has faced similar threats in the past. Just last month, he received a death threat demanding RS. 2 crore, which led to an investigation and subsequent arrest of Azam Mohammed Mustafa, a resident of Bandra (East), on October 30.
In a separate incident, on October 29, the Mumbai Traffic Police received another anonymous message threatening the actor’s life unless he paid RS. 2 crore. Following this, police arrested a man from Jamshedpur in Jharkhand in connection with a similar RS. 5 crore threat message sent to the police’s WhatsApp helpline desk.
Ongoing Security Concerns Linked to Lawrence Bishnoi Gang
The Lawrence Bishnoi gang has reportedly targeted Salman Khan multiple times. Earlier this year, suspected gang members fired shots outside his Bandra residence, and the Navi Mumbai police uncovered another alleged assassination plot. With the increasing number of threats, the police have ramped up security around the actor’s home in Galaxy Apartments, Bandra (West).
