The Consulate General of Pakistan New York organized an event in partnership with the Oxford Pakistan Programme to highlight efforts aimed at expanding educational access for students of Pakistani heritage. The gathering focused on creating awareness about opportunities available through the programme.

The initiative is designed to support scholarships and academic pathways that increase the presence of Pakistani and Pakistani-origin students at the University of Oxford. It aims to open doors for talented individuals from Pakistan as well as those from the wider diaspora to pursue higher education at one of the world’s leading institutions.

The event began with opening remarks by Aamer Ahmed Atozai, who stressed the importance of investing in education and nurturing young talent from both Pakistan and overseas communities. He noted that initiatives like the Oxford Pakistan Programme play a key role in enhancing Pakistani representation at top global universities while also strengthening connections within the international Pakistani community.
The Consulate reaffirmed its commitment to supporting educational initiatives that broaden access and create meaningful academic opportunities for Pakistani students worldwide, particularly through collaboration with leading academic institutions and community organizations.
