The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is expanding its coordination efforts with partner agencies across the country as preparations accelerate for the upcoming FIFA World Cup.
Working in alignment with the White House FIFA Task Force, FEMA is focusing on strengthening safety measures and emergency response planning for tournament events scheduled throughout the United States.

Recently, FEMA organized a multi-level preparedness exercise at its Lynnwood, Washington office, bringing together federal, state, and local officials. The session centered on planning strategies to ensure the safety of both residents and visitors during the six matches set to take place in Seattle.
The exercise included discussions on emergency response coordination, resource allocation, and interagency communication to effectively handle potential incidents during large-scale events.

FEMA confirmed that similar planning sessions and readiness exercises are ongoing nationwide to ensure that all relevant authorities are fully equipped to manage any emergency situation.
The agency reiterated its commitment to maintaining public safety and ensuring a secure environment for all attendees during the FIFA World Cup events across the country.
