The Alliance for Disaster Relief (AFDR), a Houston-based nonprofit uniting more than 25 community organizations , has launched an urgent appeal to support victims of the 2025 Pakistan floods—the worst in five decades.

Millions of people have been displaced as torrential monsoon rains, melting glaciers, and flash floods have destroyed homes, farmland, and vital infrastructure across Pakistan. The scale of devastation has created a national emergency, with immediate needs for food, clean water, medical care, and shelter.

Coordinated Relief Through Trusted Partners
AFDR is working with its implementing partner Helping Hand for Relief and Development (HHRD)—a globally recognized, 4-star rated humanitarian organization—along with several other trusted community partners. Together, they are mobilizing emergency distributions of:
- Cooked meals and dry food packs
- Clean drinking water and milk for children
- Hygiene kits and mosquito nets
- Mobile medical clinics and urgent healthcare
- Emergency tents and shelters
AFDR’s fundraising goal of $100,000 will directly support these critical relief operations.

Call for Collective Action
AFDR is urging individuals, businesses, and organizations to confirm their participation in this relief effort. By coordinating resources, Houston’s community can play a vital role in delivering lifesaving aid to Pakistan at this critical moment.
