The Consulate General of Pakistan in New York, through its Trade and Investment Section, hosted a networking dinner on May 19, 2025, in honor of a 20-member delegation from the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI). The event brought together a wide range of U.S.-based business leaders from sectors such as textiles, mining, food and agriculture, finance, and pharmaceuticals, offering a platform for meaningful dialogue and future collaboration.

The evening began with opening remarks from Trade and Investment Counsellor Adnan Mahmood Awan, who welcomed the FPCCI delegation and highlighted the importance of fostering bilateral trade ties. He emphasized the potential for sector-specific partnerships between Pakistan and the United States.
Consul General Aamer Ahmed Atozai also welcomed the delegation, underscoring the United States’ role as Pakistan’s largest export destination and key trading partner. He noted that events like this help deepen mutual understanding, promote joint ventures, and spotlight Pakistan’s economic opportunities to a broader U.S. audience.
Tariq Jadoon, Vice President of FPCCI, along with Malik Sohail Hussain, Chairman Coordination & Consultant, and Karim Aziz Malik, Chairman of FPCCI Capital Office Islamabad and former FPCCI Vice President, addressed the gathering. They thanked the Consulate for arranging the networking dinner and B2B meetings, and shared key highlights from their visit, including meetings with the Ambassador of Pakistan to the U.S., the U.S. Department of Commerce, and the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR).

The gathering provided a valuable opportunity for attendees to exchange ideas, identify new business prospects, and explore avenues for trade collaboration. The Consulate reiterated its ongoing commitment to facilitating strong business linkages between the private sectors of both nations. The evening concluded on a positive note, with calls for continued engagement between Pakistani exporters and U.S. businesses, especially in non-traditional sectors.
